Sean - you didn't take this did you?! Congrat's on the little pod. Not sure, but is it a boy? It looks like might be a boy... whichever, your love is obvious and that's ALL that matters.

Hey, CONGRATULATIONS Sean. You'll become a Dad at around the same time as I become a Grandfather for the second time. Hope all goes well. I fully agree with your sentiments.

I loved the candidness of the shot - I usually shoot that way myself. I like journalistic approach since those "posed" shots are not really who the people are. Im just glad you could get a great shot in. Wish mine zoomed a little more - just got a few more lenses on the way so that should be better....

Thank you for your kind comment. She is isn't she?! That was taken hand held from right across the room at max zoom with my Fuji 5000. I just wish I had my 300D back then.

I paid for the egypt cruise as a surprise wedding present to Hayley. We went from Limmassol to Port Said

I would have liked to see a colour version too Sean, but this B/W has such clean lines and great contrast I like it loads.

I think it's a Cacteranium but then I know zilch about horticulture. Whatever it is I like the capture Sean, especially how DOF makes the plants stand out from the background.

Hi Margaret

I took the photo thinking it was an allium, but on closer inspection, the main stems were woody and had thorns.

Well if they had been taken here I would say they were a type of allium [onion family] they come in lots of sizes and colours [I posted one 'Allium Split' which was dark purple]
It is a lovely composition anyway whatever they are
