Interesting picture.
I like the composition. The random flour scattering is cool but i think it does kind of distract from the iamge.
Other than that I think this is a great image and well thought out!

The fill adds 'snap', and overall I like this genre of the enviromental portrait. It might have been a little less obvious if you had dialed down the flash exposure to about -1 EV. Her partially fogged glasses give that familiar feel of the frozen north. Cheers.

What a classical image. Simple curves, with a simple, human message. Uncluttered. Great choice of a vertical format here.

Nicely done Mark. Apparently you're in the medical profession in some way or another. The range here (IMO) is a bit flat. Otherwise . . . it seems a great composition. I wonder if you considered adding a subtle vignetting to draw the eye of the wiewer into the scene? (I attached an example). Nice work!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Mark -- A beautiful and sweet picture of this handsome cat. My cat was on the couch last night doing the same thing and snoring! What self-respecting cat snores? Great shot and excellent exposure. My preference would have been to see a bit of the top cropped off, maybe about 10 or fifteen percent.

Super shot. Love the detail and the colours. Composed well and the water(?) in the background looks like it is moving fast. Regards Ron.

jan, i agree--- black cats are darn hard to capture. i really like this image. very william eggleston in a way. i think my next cat (may carl live a very long time) will be a calico for better portraiture!

Carl looks very happy and laid back. Good cat portrait. I have taken and posted a few pix of my black cat, Roland, and I can say with certainty that black cats are not easy to capture with detail. Good exposure and highlights show well. Well done.
