Wow, a lovely ethereal feel to the picture, the lighting and shadows must have been beautiful in real time.

I don't have a very experienced background in photography, no professional here! Photographing is just an activity I love to do as a pasttime. I guess if I'd have to write a profile all it would say would be "Just for fun!" Lol, and that's not too interesting is it? I'll probably be sitting here, bored, one night and get around to it though!

Miranda, looking at your very varied photos I am sure your own personal introduction would be very interesting too, so why not write one?

Yes, I could have sharpened it, I added this photo really late at night, so there were a lot of things I didn't take into account; why did I put that frame on so large? Oh well, lol. Your profile makes you seem like a very interesting person, and you turn out a lot of wonderful photos! Thanks for your comment!

Miranda, your kind comment brought me to your portfolio where this one particularly caught my eye. I like to take pictures of sculpture, but museums here won't usually allow cameras [frown] so I mostly take them outdoors (see the "Statues" area of my portfolio). I could only wish this were a little larger, as it looks like a most beautiful shot, well composed, and with a great sense of "space" that allows the art to speak. Might it also have been sharpened a little more? Perhaps not, if you had to use a long exposure... sharpening can't compensate for camera shake, as I know only too well. [wry grin]

Dear Ms. Miranda,
I comment on your "Art" not merely because I usually comment on the first photo I see, the last one a person I have not yet met on "Usefilm" posted, but for its own merit. It has art (no inverted comas), depth, composition, a color style that broadcasts the silence of a museum and each item, be it a person or a piece of art, is exactly at the place it ought to be. Bravo. Your other photos are diverse and tell me that you have an imaginative mind.
Taking a chance that you might be intersted in psychoanalysis, allow me to invite you to pay a visit to www.drspringmann.com The book ("Dialogues with Schizophrenia - the Art of Psychotherepy"), although a valid psychoanalytic book, was written with the intersted non mantal-health professional also in mind. If I may I would adivse you to read all that can be found on that site for free and according to that make up your mind.
Thank you for your generous comment on my "Mannequin with blue".
Regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann

Miranda, I love this shot - reminds me of when I was in Chicago 4yrs ago. Those skyscrapers are awesome. I chickened out of going up Sears Tower. If I wear thick socks I go dizzy. B/W gives this shot just the right atmosphere.
Thanks for your comment on "Falcon Hotel". Grat food there.

Interessante questa foto, le rocce guidano verso qualcosa che non c'è. Interessante anche l'acqua con i riflessi sulla superficie. Molto interessante!

Hi Miranda.
The poor wee thing.
I guess I can flip it with the simplest of programmes but then it'd be stuck to the ceiling.
Not planning on lighting it and doing a series are you?
