Stronger, deeper blacks may help it get more impact. Interesting tree and the curve works for me.

It's in the context of abstraction, with the hint of flight and fantasy. Good work.

I was there myself recently... I know how hard this place is to capture without people/distractions.

The building in the background is too distracting. A shallower DOF might have fixed this. The tree doesn't add anything, either.

For a shot like this to work, you either need more of the surroundings or none of them. As it is, it looks like a typical tourist shot of something weird they saw while on holiday.

Joffre,

Ahhh yes, on a clear day, you can see forever! very good title for this shot! very good colors, thesand and the sky are great. the composition, so simple, but works very well. I really like the flow of this one. (10)

Joffre,

I'm trying to decide on this one. my eye keeps jumping from the light of the bowl to the light mistiness if the tree in the background. I do not know if that is what you were trying to achieve here, but it does not flow as well as some of your past work. The detail of the pine needles is tack sharp. cant argue that. But still love your work!

Joffre,

cool effect with the toning, although I would love to see it in the original b&w. Looks like it has some nice contrasts and tones. (8)

its a little bullseye for my taste. the colour is nice and rich and I feel the potential but it seems like the tip of the kayak points nowhere. the sky mirroring the ocean is the bulk of the image and the kayaks seem to lack commitment or intention.

Excellent in its simplicity.
The big black area at the top (water?) would better not be there, making the rope on wood even stronger.
