Colors remind me of some surrealistic painters. I like the graphic effect of the image. I only think it would have been nice if there was more of the orange sign(?) visible to bring some 'life' into the image.

Looks like something out of Star Trek. I like the way you've used the stark sky and water to frame the silver buildings. I'm going here in September. You've inspired me.

Hiya Lynda, we are in luck, I use Elements too!!
Now there is probably a 'correct' way to do this, and then there is the way I do it, LOL, but it seems to work ok for me, so here goes.

1. Once you have finished your post-processing/editing work, save a copy with a different name in 'save as' (in the drop-down menu under FILE.
This means you get to keep your original image as is, in case you ever want to do something completely different to it, or need proof that the image is yours etc.
If you already do this, skip to 2.:)

2. Then return to the FILE menu again, this time select 'save for web'.
A new window will open.
Change the quality from 'low' to 'maximum'.
Next, in the NEW SIZE section, find which side is the longest (height/width), and change the greater value to 849 pixels, the recommended max for Usefilm.

3.Look at the bottom of the right hand image and see how many kBs the image comes in at.
If it is over 400 (Usefilm max), find the quality box, which will be at 100 by default, and slowly slide it backwards until the kB's are 400 or less. Obviously the closer the better, better quality that way.

4. Then click ok, and save the image to a file for usefilm of something like that....and that's it!!

Hopefully I have explained this in a way that is relatively easy to understand (sometimes I get confused myself, so best of luck to you...LOL), but if you have any problems just give me a yell.

Looking forward to seeing your beautiful images LOTS bigger!!!
cheers, Beks

P.S. forgot to say that when the 'save for web' window closes, and you go to exit the image from Photoshop, you will be asked if you want to save the changes again, click 'NO', as you already have an image at full size, and one at web size saved.;)

Hi there Lynda, this looks like it would have been fun, but I would like to see it a bit larger.
I had a quick look in your portfolio and noticed that a lot of your images are quite small, can I ask which (if any) editing software you are using?
Perhaps I can give you some advice on how to make your images upload bigger. You have a lot of wonderful photos in your pf, seems a shame not to be able to see them bigger
cheers, Beks

Hi Brian,

We catch lots of Coral Trout..beautiful to eat. We also catch lots of other coral reef fish. The Great Barrier Reef is truly beautiful. We also see big whales from there. We have been there fishing and a whale has come right up to the boat. They are spectacular to watch when they breech. We are going fishing there tomorrow, Christmas Day...Hope to catch some..Merry Christmas to you. I have lived in Minnesota and just loved the snow and have always wanted to visit Alaska. Your photos of the bears are just wonderful Thanks for your comment.
