Hi Stan. Thank you. I always edit every image. Converted to B/W, then just added a white diffuse look on a dup'd layer, then brushed in what I wanted from the org. 2 minute edit.

That was shot a Long, Long time ago. Not sure where the org file is... Sorry.

Look through my site to see if there is anything there you would like to paint. I'm sure I would have the org files on those.

Thank you for all the kind comments on this image. It's one of my favorites of her from this particular series.

Warmest,

Appreciate the looks and comments. He was a real easy baby to shoot. Not one whimper.. ;)

Martin, I think it was around 1/8 with regard to power. It was partly cloudy, and heavy high clouds moving in. The Octobox was approx 2 feet from her. I really like it, and the 70.200 lens for shooting outside work.

Thanks folks.

He's a senior who I shot earlier this year. Yep, I have the vagabond PS as well. I very rarely use 2 lights outside, but thought I would on this series.

Her skin is pretty smooth to start with. A pimple or two removed, but that's pretty much it.

TIA

I'm not qualified to critique a fashion shot, but I know when I like a shot. I like this one. ;)

Thanks all

I had a 2x2 piece of silver reflector taped to a piece of foamcore camera left on a stand to help bring in some highlights on that side.

I love the 8fps feature of the camera. High ISO capabilities is a plus, but most new cameras can handle that as well. Solid Body for sure as well.

James, I'm not a big gear person. I've only ever owned 3 camera's. I started out 8 yrs ago with the Fuji S1. Then Canon D60's of which I use for backup. I have the MkII now. I can't comment on the others since I've never used them. I'd say rent them, try them, and buy from that.

Hope that helps.

Very easy Robert.

The subject is approx 6' from the b/g, so there is no flare on him from the b/g lighting, plus I have my main and fill 1 stop hotter than the b/g.

Robert, I used a Photoflex 12x16" softbox on it, or I think those are the demensions. It was just out of frame, with the 550 set to full power.

Thanks

This girl has perfect skin. Was no need to get heavy handed on the Post work. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being heavy handed on it, I softened her face 1.5. Pretty much it.

Thanks folks.

Robert, you can see the setup here. All I ever really did was move my Key light which was a medium SB.

Kambiz, she was OK, I didn't want big grins from her in this particular type of shot.

Thanks folks. She' got some real kill'r eyes.

Don, She is in focus. It could be some compression for the web, but I can count her eyelashes in orginal file.

Thanks all.

He was a great 6 month old. Never whimpered once. The size of the main was Photoflex Medium SB. I think it's around 18x24 or so. I've never measured it.

Rashed: I use shadows alot in my work as this shot. I love playing one against the other. Shadows can be your friend.
