Thanks for the comment jim. I finally got back to the states late last night. Regarding the picture, i was thinking of *gasp* cropping off basically the left half of the image.
; but i like being able to see the skateboard on the left. *shrugs* My desktop (and thus photoshop) is currently in trasnsit to San Jose, but hopefully once i get out there and settled I'll be able to process (and sort) the what i shot this summer w/ something other than iphoto.

take care yff.

given the symmetry of the gradient created w/ the sun and clouds, i felt a centered "dead on" shot was appropriate.
thank you for your comment.

Thanks for the comments. yeah, i'm aways torn between my color and b/w versions of photos. venice has such a classic beauty about it that b/w is often fitting, however the city also offers great colour that is lost in the b/w.

Regards,
Mike R

i love the timing and composure, but my focus keeps drifting around to the various light reflections and not on the child/dog. maybe some croping or burning could heplp this?

but nice image.

I'll def do that. I need to actually figure out my housing situation in the next week or two as i'm leaving the country for 2 months in mid may (backpacking from london to tokyo for the summer. even stopping by the visit teh swisser in his homeland). shoot me an email at wayot_mike (at) mac dot com if you get a chance, i'd like to get your advice on a few things in the area.

haha, great capture. i love how the dog's silhouette is distorted by the meeting of the wall and sidewalk. excellent color and contrast.

can't wait to move out to the bay area in august and hopefully have time to shoot some more.

great color, however it appears a but out of focus and needs to be slightly rotated. neat concept though.

great shot. i had to do a double take for a second as i thought the thumbnail image was one of mine. nice range of color temps and great exposure.

i like the composition. however, in my opinion, i think it's too soft and detail is lost beucase of this. also, the smaller strands of hair being blown back are slightly distracting. but beautiful model and great compsoition.

Interesting location, however the photo just doesn't grab my attention the way It could. Not sure if your view was limited, but I think there could be other more interesting angles. Its still a nice photo however. The colors also seem a but flat.

Good capture. I'd suggest adjusting the composition next time so that the structure is not in the dead center of the image. Good use of the rule of thirds.

beautiful. i'd suggest smoothing out her forehead as it seems a bit bumpy and takes away from the gradient. great shot.

thanks for the comment. yeah, this cat can sure give some dramatic looks. she can be the sweetiest kitty ever or be quite moody at times. i've got a few other pics of her in my portfolio too.
