Thanks for your comment, Michele. The 'Stude' was covered over in fill the next fall as the riverbank was rebuilt. It may yet emerge sometime in the near or far future to intrigue and inspire a later car enthusiast/photographer.

I similar site near the Cape Sebastian property was recently referred to as a "Curry County Car garden" . . .

J -

I have a small collection of images taken of this one particular formation . . .and there may be one that does show exactly what you describe. No promises, but with a little luck I might be able to bring it up from my archives. I'll apologize ahead of time for what I suspect will be a pedestrian image when compared with yours and the others here.

Michele-

Thank your for your kindness and encouragement. I am grateful to you for leading me here, and I appreciate your appraisal of my efforts.

I hope to follow your fine example and break away from my snapshot photography syndrome.

Thank you my friend,

Don

Paul - This area of southern Utah is just crammed with one striking image after another. These rock formations are so massive that establishing scale becomes an ever present concern. It is days like the one shown, when the weather becomes atypical that I always found my perceptions of the landscape turned upside down as the light and rocks seemed to transform themselves into previously unimagined new tones, shapes and colors. My only regret is that the work on the ranch did not always provide the time I needed to capture these stunning moments . . .and my skills fell well below the representation these scenes deserve.

As I look at this I can feel the warm wind coming up the coast, hear the surf dashing up and back from the sand and back . . .and the colors are so vibrantly captured to cause me to reach for my Raybans. Wonderfully imaged my friend.
