Good job Ed ......Only thing I would give you a tip on is: women tend to tilt their head to the higher shoulder .... so in this situation, .. while looking at her on your screen.. cup her head in both your hands and tilt her head the same distance .. to the left. There is a certain way the head should be .. for reasons. The way her head is here. is kinda girlish/teen...... tilted the way I sugested.. she looks like a woman....Play around with it Ed .. see what you think.
She is a beautiful woman and model..... Take her over to the window and use window daylight on her face... you'll love it Ed.
On another point .. like in your bio... I came into "digital" kicking and screeming. I miss film.

HiJohn ......Thank you for your concern. I'm ok tho...just lost interest in the whole thing. The forum I opened"pursuit of fine photography" ..really reinforced my fears of the site going in the wrong direction. I don't expect it to change.. so I'll just ride out my membership. In the mean time.. I will continue to help and assist all who wish to take advantage of my offer.

Hi Lonnit,.......Since you are starting out and you asked for comments..... May I offer this: Go for the "basics" first ... in other words .... learn and practice the basics of "light".. "focus" and how light works on the subject and shadows. Then you will have more fun .. trying out new things.. and do more. A good start though.
Here's your first tip: Camera's can not focus (with success) on a flat surface. So .. focus on the eye.. more over... the eye lid... or the edge of the nostril .. or edge of the lip... Here'a another ... keep your subject out of "half sunlight.. half shade. .... go for the shade.
Good luck lonnit...... you're on your way. ))

Hi Tim..... Thanks for your input into the forum.... This is a very silent beautiful setting. I like it alot. Good composition with the kayak and lighting is excellent. ... I;m not saying that you have to do this.. but with some of my boating pix .. I narrow it down to a semi panarama shot. .. Seems to add a more dramatic effect. .. Try it .. you may like it also.

Hi Anthony ......All the tips you have recieved here are correct and will lead you to developing a better style. May I add this: Look for a book on wedding photography by "Monti Zucker"... or/even try to attend one or all of his seminars. You would also do well to join your State's "professional photographer's Assoc.." That way .. you will be exposed to all their seminars and knowledge. As you are finding out.. youdon'tjust show up at the wedding and shoot everything that smiles or moves. lolo. .. And Monti's style of the love story is valuable and a learning experience. You will learn the Male and the Female pose .. yes.. there is a difference. You're off to a great start. Hope this all helps.
