The shadows aren't really that bad, it adds to the harshness of it all. What you really need to do is use some text that doesn't clash as much with the background. Maybe you could even darken the background where the text is so that it stands out better. Try panoramic as well to get rid of the space at top and give the promo shot a feeling of promo rather than snapshot.
Email me the original and I'll give it a shot...

I miss Miles too. Sorry it has been so long since I got on this site. This is such a great shot my friend. When are you moving back? I'm happy for your new aquisition of the D70. I got myself the Canon 20D and I love it. If you want to check out some of my new stuff you should look at www.joshuarainey.com. Also, I'm engaged. We both knew it was coming from the moment I met her. Rach and I are getting married at the beginning of January. I want you there. Hope to see you soon.

Great composition. I like how you over-emphasized the sky in this shot in order to give the viewer a sense of the hugeness of the scene...

Great motion blur. You captured just enough movement to convey the scene to the viewer, but the photo is still very crisp and in focus elsewhere. You could maybe crop off some of the top (but that's just a matter of opinion). Nicely done...

Very nice image Gozde. I really like the lower part of the photo. The stairs and how the light hits the building seems to be the real focal point of this image. The sun, however, is a little bit distracting from the real focus...

Thanks for the comment Gayle. This does seem like memories displayed on film or something of that sort. Interestingly enough, I didn't use photoshop for this image except to create the border and combine the two images into one. My girlfriend and I were drinking tea and the steam fogged up my lens. I started taking abstract images with the fogged up lens and these are some of the shots that turned out...

I absolutely love the text info that you give to accompany your images. In a way, it sort of dictates the emotions that the viewer feels when seeing your images...

If you don't know who Cindy Sherman is then you really need to find out immediately. Your style seems to have some of her influence but at the same time it is so incredibly different. Great shot, good B&W, and the panoramic vertical view is simply perfect...
