Excellent detail, DOF and tones. Where was this photo taken?

Gorgeous colours but I'd prefer a wider shot. What was cropped off, or avoided?

Priceless expression! An excellent shot, good background, lots of interest. So much to think about, what were they doing, what did they think of you etc.

An image of two parts, rich reds and orange on the left, blue on the right. Looks great!

Lovely work, probably much more interesting than the real thing.

The grasshopper appears to be surrounded by fire, stunning image!

More of the reflection would have been better. I recognise this building from a TV show "Two Fat Ladies" a cookery programme.

The background colours really complement the spider's colours to produce a lovely image.

The blurring and frame are lovely touches but the upward facing leaves do seem to be poorly lit, washing out the colour and texture. Autumn is surely here, I have long trousers on again.

Nicely tweaked.

A lot of possibilites with this house but the lighting is very poor. the sky is washed out, as are the colours of the stone. With the Sun in the right place at the right time this house could look really good.

A good selection of leaves with different colours but the background rock does not work for me, too drab. More moss, lichens, would be more interesting. The spacing of the leaves is also a problem, maybe much closer together would work better for my taste.

I'm no great fan of spiders, even though many of them have fabulous designs which keep bringing me back to take yet another spider shot. Digital cameras certainly do excel at these macros though.

Good timing. I'm not sure about the sepia tones though. If the person had been much older than this young person I think it would work. I'm just stuck associating sepia with old.

A simple image with good lines but I think the background is lacking something, or maybe the bright area is a little overpowering for my taste.

The colours do look a little over saturated and the foreground railing does intrude but still an lovely scene.

I do like the effect you have added, it is better than the original.

You just need to grow your hair, a big beard, a few nasty looking tattoos and the jacket is you!
My "Water Colours" sunset photo was taken 25.9.03 at Gibraltar Point near Skegness, Lincolnshire, on the east coast of England, a major nature reserve but also next to the biggest seaside resort on the east coast.

It was raining heavily when I was at Chichen-Itza last year so I had a very different view to this one. You have framed the pyramid well but if you had moved forward just a little to avoid the railings I think the image would be better.

Great composition, the background is wonderful. The whole image leaps of my screen!!

"Oh not another photographer!" Good details and colour, the background works well here.

Such a simple image but one which does say a lot. The quality of the image on screen is poor but I'm sure the original has much more detail. The sky has interest but the top corners are too dark. The subject is well placed with a good pose.

The warm evening colour does add a lot to an otherwise rather dull landscape. Some nice shapes in the trees but the roads just do not look attractive.

The view has lots of possibilities. I'd prefer the lighthouse to be more off-centre, with more colour in the sky. You have used far too much USM which does show up as white dots on the green foliage and grainy elsewhere.

The subject's face and emotions have been well captured but I think the overall image needs more mood, more shadows and tones.

Lovely colours and rays well captured but what is the black area in the top left corner?

Peacock Buttefly, always a pleasing site. Unfortunately the rear wings appear to be out of focus.

Lovely colours but I think you have added too much unsharp mask.

Good timing, as I presume the wing cases are open ready for take off.
