Richard has a point in terms of composition but otherwise - this is going to be fun...shall I go on about the ambience and the possible meanings presented? I am not sure - I think that I will wait for the next two images - because I believe that some amplification and clarifying will go on in the subsequent images...I love the pitch black in the background!!

Ursula,

I love the lyrical, quiet mood of this shot - dancers as the title suits it perfectly...

I like the beam leading us into the rubble - the movement in this one is the weakest of the three but it does have great rubble...

I think this one would be better with the DOF pushed either foreward with sharp needles and blur for her or sharp her and blur for needles...

Tell me if I am wrong but I am guessing you are a college student!! Your work is vibrant and edgy and not as introspective as someone who is older would post...

(btw if I am wrong - please forgive me the guess - I just have a strong feeling about it and so I am curious)...

Very, very funny - it is especially nice that the sign is rusted and bent - going no where and going no where fast - some might find this gruesome but ah well...we all die...excellent detail - love that I can make out the leaves on the ground so well...

Stefan,

I admire this because I always want to shoot these things and have never determined how to handle them - I like your handling here - poignant and not tooharsh...

Love the perspective of the lonely little tents dwarfed by the mountains...also like the fall of light on the tents as it hints at the unique lighting in situations like these...

Stefan,

This one is absolutely charming - the tones and light are perfect imo...and the story is not so specific as to ruin the chance for us adults to use our imagination...beautiful...

Okay this is driving me nuts - why is my comment under your name!! I reposted it after you reposted the image...

Hugo,

This is interesting to me...unlike the other shots that you have taken of this disaster this one is of the particular and the individual rather than the huge and general nature of the incident...the other images dealt with the scope of the devastation this one deals with the particular impact of it and in one particular facet of that impact for the owner of the blue vehicle...

can't decide if the layers make her look consumed or broken...but I do know that I like the left hand side and how it fades out...not only the edge but the cloudiness on that side of the frame...

Jeanette,

Someday when I no longer have small children - I can step away from digital and play in dark rooms and chemicals...I envy you...
