thanks for the feedback everyone. txules: this isn't actually a hdr shot, the conditions fell like this for a brief spell of time after about 5 hours of rain. All I have done is added a contrast curve and increased the saturation by about 10%.

thanks again for the comments.
Ian, for the web I use PS unsharp mask at 100%, 0.2 Radius, 0% Threshold, then repeat until it looks sharp without halos (normally about 4 times)
hope that helps..

For the shot I used a polariser and ND grad filters to control the sky from burning out.

Thanks Tony and everyone else for commenting. I will look at cloning that orange thing out (I'm not sure what it is to be honest)

Hi Arthur, thanks for leaving a comment
the photo was shot in raw and processed in Rawshooter essentials and finished in PS 7 to adjust the curves and levels. hope that helps.

Thanks Cathy for taking the time to comment.
The rocks on the left are actually abandoned millstones which were man-made from gritstone, made into circular shapes with a hole in the middle and were used for grinding barley and other stuff up. There are literally hundreds scattered all over the Peak District in the UK.

Guy, the original had a little more sky but I cropped it as I thought it didn't add anything to the shot - I might have another look at it though. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
