Hi Deb.
Nothing in particular. This shot was taken in good late afternoon sunlight.When taking shots like these in the rivers i prefer fairly high F stop .The magical speed for water shots like this is 1-40 s .This works for me.
Hope it works for you as well.

Hallo Joggie.
As jy goed is,is jy goed! Well done.This is hot! For a moment i agreed with AJ but but i think the triangle of sky balances the triangle of gras at the bottom.The brightness of the flames is brilliant and makes it look absolutely real,and the 'jumping' flame in the righthand corner rounds it off to perfection. Well done.

I simply love this piece of work !I have seen many pics of ducks ext. taking off and landing , but they all look the same.They all have great timing and quality of light ext. but,this one, to me stand out as a work of art .

Hi Ali,
This is a work of art.The different colours are amazing,and they create beautifull lines.This emphasize the DOF and draw the eye and the immagination deeper intothis wonderfull immage of a very special place on earth.I hope one day to stand on the axact spot to take in this beauty.Good work Ali and thanks for sharing it!

Hi Hilton, Thanks for the advice. I don,t think annyone will believe me, but i,m going to say this. The view you see here is of the Duiven river mouth, and you have the same view when you sit on the toilet of my friend,Jannie Groenewalds '' longdrop '' at his holiday house! Must be the toilet with the best view in the world.
