Alan, I absolutely love this image. The sharpness and the electricity in the foreground stems contrasts so beautifully with the abstracted, out of focus background with those thick ropes of what I assume are also weeds. Very effective and very moving in a way I would never expect to feel. I understand Doyle's comment, but I actually find the blown highlights add to the overall effect. Thanks for a great image.

Just passing through when I stumbled on this. A world in those eyes, I can't look away. Stunning colors and lighting. I love your style and how you process your images.

I think this is one of your best people shots. Great foreground and background interest and well done exposure, compostion and B&W conversion. I don't know how to decribe my reaction to all these shots of people standing around or walking off. They all seem so intense and pensive. This shot is especially nice.

Really like this. I can't believe you got this sharp a night shot without a tripod. Such a simple image. The subject seems to be nothing but the light in the sky and it's subtle reflection in the water. Love the color and especially the grain in the sky. And the verticle lines of the yellow lights reflected in the water. Simple, simple but so beautiful.

Beautiful shot, Valery. I love the subtle variations in the colors and tones in the sky and the water, and the sharpness of the city lights on the horizon. I'm not usually a fan of fireworks photos--they usually seem kind of cliche to me. But this is very special, and a favorite. Very well done photograph.

Wow. I love this. Very nicely done abstraction. Your photos always seem to have something about them that take you just a bit outside of reality. Maravillosa. Una favorita.

How strange, Simone. At first I thought it was a manipulated image but I see that it really is 2 different buildings, but so similar. Excellent composition and nice tonal range.
