Rob

For an "out-of-towner" to capture the Golden Gate like this, is most impressive.

I travel this $5.00-a-day habit daily and have never personally seen it from this perspective. The night time view is just gorgeous!

All my best, Chuck (<:]

Shane

As I just mentioned to my new friend Shelby from Tennessee yesterday, I love these dusk images with early evening illumination the best.

This photo is absolutely Superb, my friend!

The Magenta hues in the horizon, coupled with the unique spotlites on the bridge crossing make it come to life with such grace and beauty it is hard to put into words.

How about numbers, then.....a Perfect 7+++

Best Regards, Chuck (<:]

Robin

This is just another spectacular shot!

We love your floral "macros" and will have to look into getting a lens for our A-1 if it is made.

Nice work, Chuck [another 7+]

Melanie

As a lover of music and night time photography you have provided a "dream image" for yours truly.

Having attended both an Eagles concert in San Jose, California last October; and a John Mellancamp/Tom Fogerty joint venture in South Lake Tahoe in August of that same year, Donna and I relived our youth and your image just brings all those wonderful memories back to life.

Just a spectacular photo, and well worth further recognition by UF! A 7+++

Chelsea

As a new member it is touching to see someone honored with such a beautiful personal image, and with such warm and thoughtful words.

Donna and I are truly sorry at the loss of your friend, and we are sure the memory of his spirit will live on with all his many contributions to this wonderful website.

Sincerely,

Chuck & Donna Waters

Stephen

This is a very fine image, Stephen. The composition is just superb, and I love how the foam has collected on the foreground seaweed.

But most impressive is the perpective created by the long extended pier on the right. It draws the viewer's attention directly to the compelling oncoming storm clouds.

Your most impressive work, so far, my friend.

Kudos to you, Stephen! [and a new favorite!]

Robin

Judging from the others comments, I am not alone in my praise for this beautiful image.

I am intrigued how you captured this image with such softness, so much feeling; it is truly a work of art and so well done.

Well done, Robin, truly well done. A perfect 7.

Regards, Chuck

Luisa...

Wonderful closeup of a familiar image from our childhood. The color is so vivid, and the framing is just perfect.

To capture just the bottom edge with her upturned smile is all we needed to complete the milleure of this photo.

Well done, Luisa!

Oh Aniko...

What a fabulous capture!

Donna and I live near the Redwood rainforests of Northern California and have seen this same scenario many a Sunday morning on a drive out to the coast.

It makes you want to curl up, pull up the comforter to your neck, stoke the fire, and sip that warm cafe latte grateful for the beauty of another cool and foggy Fall day.

Well done, my dear. My first "Favorite!"

Roby....

This is like a fine painting created by an European master artist. The colors are are just perfect and the tule fog gives us such a feeling of calm and comfort; it is truly a work of quality and a wonderful capture.

As a newer member, your portfolio is ripe with some of best photos we've seen so far at this website!

A perfect example of both magic light and landscape.

All our best, Chuck

Donna and I have a "jumbo size" version of your cute little Patience named gypsy who we simply adore.

Thank you for this wonderful capture of such a cute little thing.

Rob

Donna and I truly love this photo! As a brand new member I have seen quite a few shots like this where the contributor seems to be compelled to add too much sharpness in an effort, I suppose, to make the subjects "stand out" more.

In this case, your composition looks very natural and true to life, as if a vision we would typically see on a cool and clear Fall evening.

Superb job, Rob!

Only my second critique and yet another wonderful floral shot!

I hope I am doing this right, but I can't see any other way you could have captured these flowers any more perfectly unless you handed me one to hold and breathe in its wonderful aroma!!!

and so......a 7+

Alicia

This is my very first comment and I want to tell you how much we enjoy your floral photos. They are truly beautiful, and this one is no exception.

I believe you folks call this a "macro shot" which I assume involvs the the incredible close up focus on the petals and water droplets. This is just breathtaking!

My first photo, and a 7+ rating!

All my best, Chuck
