Great shot! Perhaps a dramatic B&W would work with this shot?

I would like to think that that beam of light is shining on a priest! Loved this pic, captures the grandure of St. Peter's. Great work!

Loved it, having seen the picture you referenced I liked the photo homage of it. Great picture on its own though.

Good image, looks like a Dali painting. Edges a bit too enhanced perhaps, but just my opinion.

Great colors in both the limes and the gunk in the squeezer. Too bad about the background but great capture nonetheless

Liked the mist effect on the picture. What speed did you use to capture it?

Aside from all the dead people :p I loved all those reflections in the glass and floor. Black & white works well in this image since I imagine there's not much color there to begin with and it adds to its atmosphere.
Liked it!

Correction, the post is Siena's Duomo not Firenze. Though I dare say I can dig up some footage of that magnificent cathedral :)

Love the Hammer House treatment to the castle. Gives it a lugubrious feeling which contrasts with the fairy-tale kitsch associated with it, after Disney used it as inspiration for his logo.
Another great photo!

Congratulations, your recent output has been excellent. That two/three year hiatus you took from this site seems to have energized you!
Great picture and well deserved award.

Mmmm, I think I liked the original better. The glow and darkening of the sorroundings gives it a more ethereal feeling, however, I think the original image has enough impact to stand on its own. Then again it is just my personal preference. Keep them coming!

Loved the resonance of the arrow and the acolyte. Great picture and good selective enhancements of the arrow. Again, a great picture from you. Keep them coming.

Would this be the companion door for your Unsullied Laundry photo? Loved the texturem of the wall on both.

Anthony,

What I love about this picture is the fact that it could have been taken 50 years ago and it would look the same. The sepia effect really works.
One of my favorites of your series

Anthony,
I can see what you mean, however, too much saturation may sometimes give it a "fake" look. What do you think?
Thank you for your comments and your example.

Great Picture.
A sharper rendition of your Amish Country III. Though you can tell it was taken from a distance as you explained, I don't agree with Beth about the quality of the picture, I would say the texture is gainy but not pixelated.
Anyway that's my opinion.

Great series!

Great idea, perhaps you should have taken it so it would not show your reflection.

Great contrast and light. I agree with Kathy, perhaps you should clone out the power lines, but then, does it not become photoart?
Great job!
