yes beautiful shot. in addition to removing the graffiti from the trash cans, i'd remove the white buckets behind the trash cans.

Fantastic shot Ninfa, the narrow DOF placed emphasis on this single dancer followed by more behind him. I was born & raised there, lived in Makati too but funny thing is I've never heard of this festival, @ what time of the year is this held? I surely would've head on over there with my camera if I happen to be in Pinas. Anyway nicely done, cheers.

Each year on Good Fridays, Filipino Catholic penitents flagellate themselves to seek penance. Hundreds of men throughout provincial towns perform this ritual although it is not condoned and discouraged by the Catholic Church.

Wow, now that does look a scary place.
Very good documentary shot Ninfa, to be honest I didn't initially see the copyright notice.
I guess I gazed right through it ;-)
Very good composition, may have been more powerful with a closer crop and the girl without a smile on her face.
But still a good photo.

Do you know the significance of the pigs?
It reminds me of a similar sculpture in State College Pennsylvania where the pigs were chosen as that years public sculpture because there were pigs in the oldest known picture of the main street in town (A dirt road with two small houses).
I think that's how the story goes...
