Andre,
For a photographer with such strong images I wish you could have given some constructive criticism instead of something that could be percieved as a thinly veiled insult.
If you don't like the image, please tell me how I can improve it.
Within the definition of Critiquers Corner it states, "Critiques should be long enough to convey your thoughts about the image, improvements that could be made in technique, exposure, composition, lighting etc.."

This image is engaging. I don't know if it is the composition, tonal range, subject or background.
High ISO?

Yutaka,
Perhaps this abstract would be stonger as a Black and White. This would exploit the tones.

This is a good one with soft lighting and the composition using her reflection. I like the subtle seperation from the background as well.

I like the use of the semi-focused foreground pattern and the strong color in the background to create a strong abstract composition.

Nicely executed especially the composition. But I wish the buildings in the background were a bit brighter.

Sascha,
Of all the portraits in your portfolio this is my favorite. The expression, cropping, DOF and soft color pallette are most intriguing.
Your outdoor and existing light portraits are strong but your studio portraits (Sara) seem a bit underexposed.
Here is the final version (attached) of that portrait you commented on.
Hope to hear from you soon.

OK...Expose for highlights and use your histogram to see where your highlights and shadows fall. You've been shooting chrome, so it should come easy to you!

Shirley,
One of my best pieces of advice is when using a digital camera is to be sure to turn it off before changing lenses. The sensor discharges and is less likely to attract dust.

Shirley,
Film has/is serving you well. You have much more patience than I and perhaps a much faster computer as well to do so much scanning. I'd be shootng more film if I could afford it. I love my FM and F100 more than my D200! I miss shooting Fujifilms too. They are so satisfying.
