here in portugal we have something that is called 'Fado' wich turns us into shadowy creatures with no joy... the picture is from the oldest village in Portugal and I tried to capture all of our national sadness and recolection of much better times. Never the less thanks for your commment and i'll try your sujestion on focusing on the old man. you've made a realy good cunstructive comment and helped me understand a little more about photography. I hope you take some time to see my other photos and make insigthfull comments as you did with this one. thank you.

Boa foto!

Achei o outro lado super bonito e assim o assunto seriam as pessoas caminhando.
Adorei a foto e o ambiente. Dá impressão de se estar passeando por lá.
Abraço

Are the people who walk and work in this street such shadowy creatures? That is the impression your image gives. There would be quite a good image if you concentrated on the old gentleman with the stick. You would need to crop much of the right side of the photo. and you would want to throw some light on the man's figure - Levels in Photoshop would enable you to do that. Actually it migh t be a good idea to return to this street when the light is better and observe and be patient - a really good photographic opportunity might present itself.
