I think b&w would've made this picture more dramatic....

Well done on an excellent B&W portrait. The pose / composition is also very pleasing. The only thing that i don't like it the way you used the DoF to make her face stand out... it looks as if her face was stuck onto another piture.

This is a very well composed image. The 'background' stuff on the piano is a bit destracting though.
I think this image would even be more better in B&W.

I like these kind of photos. The only thing that i battle with is the hazy look of the sky - all washed out. What Mary said makes sense to me... if i understand her correctly. You'll see less of the sky (if at all). Don't get me wrong, i think your composition is great - subject is well framed. But if one can get rid of the washed out sky, why not?

Yup, after i enlarged the photo it looked much better. The only thing that put's me off is the busy background. I know it was only i snap shot (very nice one though), but he doesn't stand out...

I love this picture... The only negative is the not-so-level horizon & overexposed wave, but the little girls facial expression and reflection more than makes up for it.
Excellent photo... hope you have it up on a wall somewhere

To much open space at the top (for my liking). Otherwise this was a very nice idea, maybe you must go back and try to get them a bit more sharper...

What a lovely picture. The yellow is very nice and adds a lot to the picture.
Have you tried this in B&W... i know you will loose the nice yellow, but the small leaves have a lot of wonderful lines that will be enhanced with B&W.

This is very diffucult lighting... washed out in the top left corner and 'dark' sand in the bottom right corner. The horizon could also be a bit more level.
But none the less, this ramains a beautiful image... well done.

A very beautiful sunset. I agree that the two figures add that all important perspective to the overall image, well done. The only thing that doesn’t add up for me is the 10 second shutter speed. With such a long shutter I don’t think one would’ve seen any waves??

Maybe it's appealing to ya all because of the school girl/uniform... or what's left of it.
I think the crop is just right... even the carpet on the bottom of the picture.

This is a very beautiful composed picture. I think the reeds in the foreground has a lot to do with it, so it was a great idea to include them (and well done on keeping them sharp). The side lighting from the early morning sun also adds a lot of depth to the picture.

Damn, but this is a beautiful scene. The foreground at the top and bottom, makes this a very unusual composition... for the better. The flowing effect of the water is also just right. Did you use a flash in order to expose the foreground so nicely, or was it natural light?

It?s a very unorthodox composition... but none the less it works very well in this photo. The side lighting on the beautiful girl works great and actually enhances the composition.

I love the colors in the clouds. Did you put the sun deliberately right smack in the middle? I think it would've work better if the sun was off center towards the left.
