Wonderful orchid shot!! Great clarity and details, looks as if you selectively decolored the petals and background (everything but the center... ;-D)... nice, excellent crop and composition... well done!!

A faublous capture in a beautiful and very unexpected setting. The positioning of the animals in the frame is quite nice and the choice of B&W flatters the stone work beautifully. The stonework could almost detract from the animals but the textural and tonal contrast between the animal and the stone prevents that, I think, and again, the textural advantages of B&W are at work here. Great shot!! 7/7 and a favorite!

Wow, what a stunner!! Great clarity and depth of field, but aside from that, the lighting and exposure here captures the subtlety of the blossoms very very well. I have shot a few of these flowers (or tried to) and I find that it's easier to lose the subtlety that one would think. I think the black/dark background is working to your favor here as it helps to reveal the veining in the petals. Is it a studio shot? Excellent work!
