This is also a great shot. I have a 75-300 IS lens which I have had great success with especially at air shows.

Thanks Bill, I did a shot from the garden table with the selftimer just to prevent any movement.
The sky was very clear and I set the shutterspeed on 1/500. After that I cropped most of the black off to make the moon look bigger. Thats about all I did.
By the way, I sold the 75-300 and bought the 70-200 L f/4 lens, because the results are much better with that one, but maybe the 100mm more weren't so bad after all. I did a moonshot with that one too, take a look and let me know what you think of that one. http://www.usefilm.com/image/1271906.html
I can recommend the 70-200, it's a beauty and not too heavy.

Very nice shot of the moon. I am little surprixed that you can do this well with a 300mm lens. I am using a 170-500mm Sigma lens with a 2X extender and yours are coming out better than mine. BILL NAGY

Thanks Bill, I think I wait a little while before buying a 30D, I bought the 10D for 1,5 year ago for 1200 euros and now I get maybe 400 back when selling it, and I have to pay another 1000 euros for the 30D.
I like the 10D a lot, but maybe a bigger screen will be fine after all.
The monochrome setting is a nice thing, but I don't mind doing that later with PS or another program.

I am very pleased with the 30D. One feature that I like is that it has a monochrome setting so you can take B&W photos directly without using photoshop. Bill Nagy

Indeed Hilton, long time indeed, very busy with work, but now I'm busy with organising a big familyparty in September. Everybody is talking about it for years now but nobody is taking any action. Now I did, and I hope everybody is coming. But it is a nice thing to do.

Thanks my dear Biljana, long time no see.
Very busy again with not only the job, but I'm busy too with the organisation of a big family-party in September, this takes a lot of time, but everybody is talking about it for years now and nobody takes initiative to start it up.
I'm glad you like the picture, and I think this is just for springtime playing, because it was just a very short moment, but I was doing some shots and was in time to capture it.
Hugs from a very wet Holland, now the sun enjoyes us for the time being, but rain fells very regularly.

Thanks Nicole, and I'm delighted to see you laugh so much about this picture. Indeed, one can never laugh too much. I was doing some shots of these special kind of cows, and in a moment they start do do this, the next moment they were grazing again. So like Riny mentioned, at the right time on the right moment.

Hi Riny, goedemiddag, inderdaad behoorlijk druk.
Ik ben de laatste tijd ook nog druk geweest met de organisatie van een familiereünie in september, dus er blijft niet veel tijd over.
Bedankt voor je commentaar, en inderdaad, ik was net een paar foto's aan het maken van deze bijzondere koeien toen dit gebeurde, dus zoals je al zei, op de juiste plaats op het juiste moment.
