About: Despite starting my career as a salesman of multimedia products, I initially did not have a great interest in photography. That changed in November 2002, when I made my way to Australia. I needed something to record events with, and although I had decided to go digital I was swaying between buying a photo or video camera. At my previous place of employment I was given the opportunity to experiment with several different digital cameras. My former instructor and good friend Markus Heimbeck, also an avid photographer, introduced me to the world of digital photography. He recommended I purchase a photo camera, and like him I became fascinated with the Sony F-707. I followed his advice and soon became a proud owner of a five-mega-pixel camera. I then found myself developing a full understanding of its capabilities.
Since then, my interest in photography has grown into an obsession. I recently bought the Canon 10D and am extremely pleased with its performance. These days, I am seldom found without a camera, and over time I have compiled a large collection of images.
