Hi Petal,

I'm getting dizzy when watching the textures and the rounded lines here ;-)
Good one, and I think the quadratic format was a very good idea. it's perfect for the snail.

best wishes.
Thilo

Is that what you want to be, Petal?
"Curled up", I mean, not a snail!! )
A fine shot of this empty home.
Best regards, Chris

Hi there Alastair,
Yes I thought about that as well but two reasons for not doing it: first... maybe he didn't move for the winter and was still in there... me picking him up would've been enough to 'top him over'... ;-D!!! second... if they were loose twigs I could've moved them instead of the snail, but they were part of a shurb and then I would be 'destroying wildlife' just to get a 'cleaner' shot... so I decided to leave it as it was/I found it...
Thanks for the comment and have a great day...

Nice shot Petal. I think I may have moved the twigs and grass though to bring the shell into greater prominence and remove the distracting lines across it.
Beautiful details and rich browns though...

Alastair
