About Got a little slap on the wrist for this one...still I liked how it came out in the end....straight forward shots can become a little tedious at times...all comments welcome

Cheers

Wow, this is... extraordinary. Love the colours, lighting, crispness and depth. Worth a slap on the wrist. Or two.

This is a really splendid photograph of this great cathedral. I don't understand what you mean about converting to B&W and then blending the layer back in. However you created it, this is gorgeous. And the depth of focus is excellent, with perfect verticals. Was the slap on the wrist for using a tripod inside the church?

great, very typical is that the picture has a incredible sharpess, all over the depth. It decreases the sense of depht a bit that is created by the strong perspective. Did you get slapped on the wrist for using the furniture as a support, lacking a tripod?
Shutter and aperture values would be a help in learning from this pic!

Hi Ralf

To get the effect on the color version I had to convert to BW and then blend the layer into the color original. When I saw the BW it did occur to me to leave it there but there are so many ways of working digitaly these days that I decided to post this version...probably because I have just worked on a series of BW shots...so time for a change..

Cheers for the comments and hope to read more soon.

This is a really nice shot. You did a good job a getting light and shadows. I personally know that getting a decent shot in this type of lighting situation is difficult. Great work!
