Thanks Ann for this comment...glad you like it. In fact, I cropped the photo to see what it would look like without the tail but realized that there was a blank space... Don't worry about the closeness of the lion...it only seems so as I cropped a bit. Its distance to me was of +/- 6 metres. Compared to other situations where the lions were just walking next to our car, this was far away... :-) So sorry to hear that you are still sick. Cheers, Mireille

I think you got close enough to those elephants without worrying about perfection in composition. I understand that you can't get perfectly positioned for wildlife shots such as this one. You've done a fantastic job getting this shot and been very brave to get this close with a 200mm lens. That's a lot of BIG elephants! My goodness Mireille but it looks like you get too close to some of your photo subjects. I've seen the thumbnail of the lion and shudder to think how close you got to him. Will go there later to comment. Of course this one goes into my faves too. I just love your wildlife images as you know. Sorry I'm behind. Still sick and busy. Will catch up as time allows.
Please drop me an email sometime. I'd love to keep in touch even if I can't keep up with Usefilm - dc3annie@hotmail.com
Cheers - Ann :)

i like it, only this tail in the right is not appropriate, the composition could be better i guess if you looked alittle bit to the left
