Hi CorrieLynn! Thanks for the nice comment! Yeah, I was cracking up about that guy's comment. I hope he wasn't too mad about me calling his Madonna an Angel... :)
I went to the cemetery hoping that I could get some interesting shots for my dark room class and that's when I noticed all of the many interesting things that people leave on their loved one's headstones. That's when I thought that it would be fun to start my series. I thought that it would be interesting to go to different cemeteries to see what I could find.
On the dark room, I wish I could build one here to play in, but I don't think that it will be happening anytime soon. My husband just finished building me a salon here, so I don't think that I could talk him into a dark room just yet. Maybe next year!

Beautiful lighting for this, and color.
I share your facination with the headstones of angels(ha, saints, dieties, whatever, even if they arnt TECHNICALLY angels-suits your angel theme just fine ;0)
I love your black and white work, but i know what you mean, a little color is nice now and then!!
So are you going to be building a darkroom now that youre done the course?

I know. I've been doing a series that I call "Angels", but really it's a series on statues that I find on head stones at the cemetary. I just call the series Angels because I think of all of these statues as "Angels" watching over the person's loved one who left it there. I've even found a chicken at one. Somehow that chicken is special to the person who left it there, so in a sense it's their kind of "Angel" watching over their loved one. Anyway...thanks for stopping by to look!
