A beautiful capture of this exotic flower Don. Is this the type you can hang upside down after a while to dry it out for a few weeks then keep it as a dried flower? Fantastic detail and clarity. Great shot indeed.

Interesting flower indeed. Is it from a cactus ?
Two things here are noteworthy. First is the DOF - all of the flower is sharp while the background is sufficiently blurrred to avoid distraction. Second, the exposure is perfect - the whites in the heart of the flower are not overexposed, thus allowing the rendition of all the details.

Wow, what a pretty flower! The thumbnail sure doesn't do it justice. Flowers have a natural golden ratio beauty, but this one is indeed an interesting standout. It reminds me of cotten candy! Great exposure, with nice details in both the sunlit areas and the shadows.
