Great composition. And welcome back to the "curve-rectangle contrast" that seemed absent from your pictures for some time. The bright leaves are lovely and make the tree look like dancing with joy and agility in front of those severe and angry official and respectable dark façades... Very nice. Bravo.

Nice choice of Black & White (which you so rarely use ... so, great call, actually).
Beautiful angle ... nice depth of field - love the detail in the bricks ... A Superb Shot!
A well deserved 7.

Hi Todd,

the contrast of the steep house canyon and the snake like tree is just breathtaking. you did very well with the black and white conversion here. almost IR style. There is just a person missing going upstairs on the tree =)

best wishes,
Thilo

Nice! I like how the tree are captured here between the houses...the dark mood and the tonal range..

;-)... this is GREAT Todd...
I love the tree, against all odds but gracefully, a defiant dancer doing it?s thing I a see of cement giants...
Is that someone waving on the top corner window of the far building,? ?

Yes it is a photonophile, by the way its trunk zig-zags, looking for the light. Just looking at the photo, it also seems to be parting the two buildings, making the column of sky wider at the top. I like it.
