I love these old Cathedral shots Manu!
Great tilted perspective on this one. Nice sky too.
Thilo Bayer likes to shoot some with similar perspective.

I have a couple of B&W shot of Westminster Abbey from summer 73 near the back of my portfolio called UK Gothic.

Hi Manu,

I love that kind of perspective shots. You will find a lot of them in my portfolio ;-)

The crispness and the strong IR like effect in the sky is well done. You have a lot of skills in PS. great subject as well.

best wishes,
Thilo

This is good, the crazy angle really makes it look imposing, like the feeling of awe you get when looking up at such amazing structures.

By "messing about" do you mean adding the sky? I was told never to point the camera up, and have only recently learned that if you do it enough to show that you really meant to, you can get away with it. You do more than "get away with it" here. It's dramatically effective.

Perfection in vertical format! I like it. No adjustments or cropping needed, but I don't know about the thick black border...I'm for trying out other possibilities.

The extreme angle makes this pic really beautiful. I've seen many shots of the Cathedral, none that resembled this one. Very nice and moody sky too. I like it!

Great strong perspective to this architectural shot Manu. The towering structure against the colors of the sky work well. Very nicely captured.

I love the colours and textures in this. The perspective is very dramatic. Not to all tastes but certainly draws the eyes upwards as your title implies. It's almost dizzying but very striking and eye cathing. Good shot. Cheers - Ann :)

Impressive diagonal perspective, on this gothic architecture, Manu. You've emphasized the size with the upward angle, which is nicely accentuated, by the blue/white sky. Good colour saturation, sharpness and contrast, add to the effectiveness and impact. Excellent and 7.

Colin
