About Subject background: A quiet scene in Berlin, Prenzlberg... Graffities around, a lonely bench, a forgotten newspaper... But is it really quite? Or is it just that the army of fallen leaves has no voice to protest, to cry or to be angry? If you take them seriously, maybe you hear their song and the song of the painted walls by the wind... =)

PS concept: Some work on levels via the channel mixer to get the color reduced look and the crispy outcome.

I agree with Kevin. Lots going on; things heard that can't be heard. A kind of music.

Beautiful corner you've found. Excellent rendering of it. /Hansi

My first impression was not a quiet scene, more a busy, almost screaming diversity of details. And the resting point, the bench, lonely (who was there ? Whats the story ?). Love the dramatic perspective and crop, and the suspense. Very good street shot.

Cheers

Loaded with color and detail, i really like the mixture of nature and city. Very neat angle/level too. Great composition.

My chosen title for this would be "Left to Die". As it seems that no one cares for the building or that wall, instead they vandelize them. The bench has become cracked and its only inhabitant is a lonely piece of advertising that no one cared to read. And then to top it all off you have a ground covered in dead leaves that appear so pale and lacking any life. The only cheerful thing found in this is the beautiful colors. Well seen Thilo~

Stupendous mix of texture. The image is busy and organized at the same time. Great find and composition. Regards, Claude

Very powerfully poetic image. Complex and layered visually and thematically--yet perfectly organized. Great work!

Best wishes,

this is an immediate favorite for me...
as Kevin says, the compo is simply perfect. also the tones are wonderful, and i like the distortion from the lens...which seems heavier on the left side. lovely work Thilo...this one is one of your best if you ask me.

hi, cool perspective with that 16mm,Thilo...patterns of chaos ;> ...like your concept of a non-violent army of fallen leaves!
Hope you shot more of the graf art...it looks like the arty kind that takes time to throw-up...this works very well in the square format
well seen and executed,my friend!
hugs,gayle

Hi Thilo,
A dazzling display of organized and un-organized chaos! Contrasts are everywhere. The peaceful park bench and left behind paper versus the screaming grafitti! Layers of leaves and layers of posters. There is so much to look at in this image. Almost a little overwhelming, but not in a bad way at all. The image commands you to stay longer and soak it all in.
Great eye for the capture!
Andre

Wonderful shot and colors and impressive graffiti....amazing Berlin where I as a 18-year old went to a Biergarten and had 12 beers....only because a woman named Ramona worked there.....I coluld have married her on the spot.....I was only a stinkin' drunk kid in her eyes though......
