Hi Pat,
I sure wish I had advice to give you about lighting. My sister and I are photographing our neices wedding next April and are a little nervous too!
I've been using the white balance a lot more and that helps under different lighting conditions. Also you are probably going to want a good flash with a bounce for indoor formal shots.
I was thinking it would be a good idea to get invited to some weddings and watch the pro at work!
Good luck. Hopefully we'll both learn a lot before our shoots. :)

Susie this is wonderful, you captured the joy of children in these images, the unconditional love they have for one another, such great happiness in their expressions, I especially like the top one, the mutual look of adoration on their faces is endearing. Honestly, I didn't even notice the backgrounds at all, excellent job of isolating and presenting your subject..beautifully put together. As any one of these could stand on its own, I don't really see why you put all three into a triptych like this. It seems a shame. Better a triptych of three separate photos... (That's not to say I dislike this presentation--I love it!)
