Giorgio, this location is probably a little over an hour from New York City, about 1/2 hr from where I live. Alison

Dear Alison, you find the beautiful place very well & the angle of view is better than lighting. Amir

Beautiful scenario Alison. I love the way you have composed your shot with the stream leading us into that lovely background. The gentle water movement is gorgeous. A wonderful pastoral scene. Best wishes to you...Ray

I love it when there's one red tree alone among the brown and black. The lighting here couldn't have been better. And so perfectly composed as the water leads us right up to it. Perfect!

hi, the fascinating thing about ambient light to me is that it gives a different atmosphere at different times...here it is higher, thus brighter and gives the sparkling glints on the water's surface and a vibrance to the blue water and green grass...it also gives a sunkissed look to the leaves...serenity in the flow of the river at a very appealing place,Alison regards, gayle

Yes the colors might have been very beautiful for the human eye, but photograph is a different story, to me the Sun is still too high and therefore the flat lighting and the lack of deep rich colors. Look at the leaves in the foreground they have so much glare on them, that they appear more white than gold. If it wasn't a landscape it would be acceptable, but since it is, in my opinion You would get better results if You waited a bit longer for a sunset.

Gosh I hate to sound like a broken record Alison, but this is just so beautiful, the reds and greens, the lighting, the woods, all so beautiful, and the composition is fantastic with the leaves in the foreground leading the viewer into the image and the waters edge leading the eye through and around the image...excellent exposure..great eye and well captured..reminds me of a painting...Linda
