It sends the same message: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I found this statue at the Jewish Holocaust Museum, located in Miami Beach. I'll be posting more images later this week.

Take care,

JP

Very interesting sculpture. What is this stature portraying. You have captured it well and the color tones and textured details are great.

ohh, this is soo full of feelings, the statue is excellent, but the way you captured it is unbeleivable, the angle goes so well with the pose, title is perfect, B&W is also a perfect choise, it is one of the moments when i feel pain, hope, and gilt, as well as pitty, shock, and sacrifice.
the list goes on as long i preview the image
well done 7+++

I echo Graham's comment regarding "Straight Out Of Pompei!", looks like one of many killed during that tragic event. Anyway this wouldn't have the same impact if left in color so the conversion to grayscale (B&W) is an excellent choice, like the tilt too. Well done Johnpau, regards.

This image could be straight our of Pompeii! Very dramatic - excellent DoF. Well done! I suspect this would simply not work in color.
