About This little one was definitely hiding behind her blankey when I first met her. She warmed up eventually and I got some playful pics I'll post at a later date.

This one is probably her parents favorite of all- I remember when my son had that blankie to his face all the time! So cute! They will want to remember this one day.... when a little tattered corner of this old blanket is part of her bridal bouquet....! ; )

Wonderful eyes and so cute gesture, hiding behind the soft pink blanket (security blanket?) before meeting a new person. So natural, both the look and the treatment of your portrait! A picture of shyness and curiosity. Well done Susie!

Lovely eyes! Its interesting how kids try and hide. I have this young nephew who loves his hanky, and a particular one, and will cover his face like this. Nice shot Susie.

Susie Oh the comfort and safety of the precious blanket :) great capture especially of the eyes - weighing you up - she obviously thought you were okay and discarded the blanket to play for you

Actually this is one of the first times I haven't had to crop away a bunch of stuff. She was standing in front of a white wall through a doorway. There was a little stuff here and there that I spot cloned, but basically her hair just had that look. I know what you mean...I thought the same thing about the smoothness. Kinda weird! But thanks for the input, I appreciate it.

What a cutie! Your focus is fantastic! That look behind the blanket is all too familiar!

The only minor nitpick I would have is her hair seems too 'smooth' at the edges to me. Did you remove the background? I am not sure what advice I could suggest...just maybe blur the edges a bit?? It could very well be me though, as I am used to a kid with usually very messy flyaway hair!

Great portrait, Susie!

Wow! Now those eyes just drill right through ya'!
And they are perfectly focused! Nice one! I'm glad that Efrain mentioned the frame...I wouldn't have noticed it, but it's a different one. I like it!

She has absolutely gorgeous eyes and you've framed those beautifully by making the rest of her face ever so subtley soft whilst keeping those eyes perfectly focussed. Lovely effect. Wonderful image Susie. Cheers - Ann :)

Ahhhhh, now this is something that I can relate to...both my younger children used to have a cuddly ( equivalent to a blanky ) and they used to take them everywhere...in fact my daughter still takes hers along with her sometimes now
