Yep, that's him Joe! Have you been back to Lake Martin? Or Maine?! I'll be on my way home tomorrow, hate to leave the little one (Runie) but I am lonesome for Mason, Krystal and my hubby! I sure wish Duane and Runie lived closer....Hope to see you soon! Darlene

This is so beautiful, Darlene...the egret, the mist-shrouded background; it's magical...soul-transporting.

wow i have never seen a egret on top of a tree like this, I guess because we have more light pole here :), very nice as you never really get to see them against a smooth background. great capture.

Your great image suits this bird perched up where it looks like he's the king, reigning over everything he surveys. Well done, once more, Darlene! Dave.

Really like the way you set this one up. The soft colors and focus behind the bird sets him/her off so nicely, and those greens and browns are super - especially with the mix of detail and soft focus! You're shots are wonderful - and you deserve any award that you get - and every shot I have seen of yours is an award winner. The most difficult - nope, almost impossible - thing to do is select which one stands out more than any of the others. Jan

Darlene, I'm wondering if some people might find this one a little too soft. Personally I think it suits this kind of image. Especially the white in the feathers. Andre
