Hi Mary,

Thanks for your constructive suggestions! It looks like you are almost there in fixing this picture. Fixing the foot right is a challenge, especially cause I don't like to have to alter a picture so much. I'll give it a try though. Thanks again for sharing!

Another great shot, Pierre. These little guys are hard to shoot (camera, of course) they don't sit still for too long. This shows his curious personality. I see the problem with the branch coming towards the viewer and the bird's foot with it. I tried to clone it out. The branch worked okay, but I didn't get the foot right, it looks a little crooked. However, I's bet you could fix the foot.

Thanks for the comment and suggestion Shane! The twig is a bit distracting, indeed. I only wished it wasn't there in the first place. The crop will have to be quite deep to get rid of it. I could also maybe try to clone it out, but not something I really want to do either as I would have to clone not only the background and branch but also the bird's leg. Any suggestions as to what you have in mind that would work best, feel free to let me know.

Thanks for commenting!

Beautiful shot Pierre. Great head detail. My only suggestion I reluctantly offer would be to crop out the twig that comes towards the observer. I personally find it a bit distracting.

Very nice Pierre. I know from experience these critters are difficult to photograph.
