I guess it's that way everywhere, Marilyn! We have our share here too. Good street shot!

Marilyn -- Boston's such a photogenic town (I know it well) and you've captured both its historical beauty and its sadness at the same time. A fine street shot. - Ned

I like this photo in colour with it's dark tones which add impact to the picture.

Great work Marilyn, really sad and depressing for sure, and now with all of these natural disasters all over the world we are going to see more and more people displaced...I heard today that the rivers in Brazil are down by 6 1/2 feet, because of drought, and of course, we here in Florida are awaiting hurricane Wilma, as it is about to hit Mexico...then there are all of the people who were displaced with Katrina, and on and on...kind of scary..the earthquakes...a really strange year, but I really got off the track here didn't I. See where this image took me...I guess that's a good thing. I like both images for different reasons...I like the colors and the lighting of the first image and the immense spread that you captured, and I like the black and white because it's more powerful in terms of communicating your message...In the first version my eye travels around the beauty you captured but in the black and white it stays pretty well focused on your subject...very nice work, are you traveling?...Linda

Oops, didn't see the b/w, that is more dramatic Marilyn, I think I like that one better!

Yes this is a Sad but a wonderful pic that show us the reallity of our contries around the world, here is tha same and I think that is the same in all the countries. If people stop to buy guns and use the money for the well other would be the reallity but I know that this is almost imposible :(
God blesss you
