never really thought of the sinister aspect till you mentioned it.
the grad filters do colour the trees - well make them black!! so I guess that will give it a looming and brooding quality.
it's decent spot up there, a bit of a walk but plenty of opportunities to stop and take shots - that's my excuse for a breather anyway.... and steve did no complain once :-) he was behind most the time !!

Ade that a slightly sinister eerie feel to it, but the golden tones are great, and lift the mood. Looks like a fine old painting, especially with the framing you used. Excellent Margaret
