LOL Paul, I didn't use a meter. One day I may use one but then I may also miss great opportunities. Right now I like spontaneous shots - animals and kids move way to fast and then the moment is gone forever.

On this one I think you metered to far and got the brighter refection on the water and it caused the shadowed area to come out under exposed. This would have been a hard shot to meter anyways unless you did a incident reading. However we know what the subject was and the water was perfectly exposed and came out great and gives a wonderful feel to the photo and viewer so over all you have a very nice photo here.
Very nice Eleisa........Hint......I try to always carry a grey card with me now that I am working on getting good exposures.
