Church of Mary Magdalene, Mary Magdalene, Spain. Built to order of the Sacrada family (the same ones who later ordered the Sacrada Familia in Barcelona), it looks like a prototype for the large (and still unfinished) cathedral to follow.
It was built on a mountaintop next to an old Moor fortification, the two together comprising the entire village.
Lots of small rough hewn stones, scanner had some trouble with the fine details on that scale. The towers only seem to be leaning, remember I used a rather extreme wideangle lens on a subject which is relatively close.
This must have been awesome to see. I question the clarity of the stone work in this picture...looks a little fuzzy??? I also noticed that the palm in front looks pretty straight, but the building seems to tilt to the left??? Could just be the angle. Best Regards.
