About It was getting late in the day and cloudy when this was taken. Everything revolves around the city center in these small towns. Everyone walks with very little auto traffic.

What interesting architecture, Don. I love this European series. There is so much history and character in each scene.

Yes Christian it is a great lens for all around shooting when traveling and not wanting to carry a whole bunch of equipment. You can gain about three shutter speeds in being able to hold it steady. Sure helps and old man like me. I never took it off all the time in Europe. Don.

Lovely scene. It's great to notice that you were able to gain colour saturation under such a grey sky.
Watch out for a little tilt down on the right. I do have a hard time dealing with the horizontal with my D70, especially when I shoot vertical.
It seems that the 24-120 VR is a super all-around lens for these travel condiitons. The DOF may not be very shallow, but it is stable, very sharp and covers a large spectrum of focal distances. Can you confirm this impression I have ?

Nice to see a shot like this without too many cars, Don! I like the way you kept some detail in the sky. You've got some good textures in the paving stone, as well as the interesting architecture of the clock tower.
Dave.

Might have a little tilt to the right but it could just be me but I'm tiltled the other way today. Excellent photograph and composition.

A very nice shot of an interesting town square. It feels like it leans a hair to the right tho. Nice texture and subdued color. Larry

Very nicely composed with the couple on the bench in exactly the right spot, Don!
Another very nice shot from your trip to Germany.
Best regards, Chris

I like the fact everyone gathers around the town center! Wish it were like that here!

It's a completely different way of life!
It's a nice street shot - it makes me want to be there.
I think this frame works really well with the 'cobbles' at the bottom of the photo.
