....Marion Luijten loaded an image similar to this but hers' is actually quite a bit better I think, but I was encouraged to move lily from the anonimity of my 'maybe' folder right out there into the limelight.....flowers are things of great joy and I think we would all do well to ponder this idea more often....can I hear cries of 'get off, ya pansy'!!!....guess what, I don't care, here's lily.....

Looked at this image for a solid 2 minutes. All the while thinking "Wow, this is just beautiful. Maybe I should post the one I have...", then I looked down and read the about and nearly fell off my chair!
I think your lily is superb in detail, colour, light and the square crop is a fantastic choice. No, I don't think you're a pansy at all David! In fact, I am encouraged to post my lily now as your were by Marion..
Hi David, thank you for your very kind comments! :-) Your lily has a beautiful red color, a very difficult color to photograph. Your DOF is also very good. I think I would have cropped this differently, not square but rectangular, cropping much more of the bottom. The white spots on the lower right are a bit distracting and so is the background.
