I think this is a great photo. I prefer it cropped the way you have it here. The top part of the photo creates the feeling the the field goes on and on. If you wanted to remove the black object (although it didn't bother me much) I would crop from the right, leaving the top and bottom.

Very nice shot!! Love the silvery shimmer, neat view... how about a close-up next time... ;-D!! Great colors, textures and angle/composition... well done!!! Had a go at cropping... hope you don't mind... my main insentive of doing this was to get rid of the black 'object' (rock??) about 2/3 up on the right side...
