About If every child was fortunate enough to be born to parents with this much love and support, the world would have so many less problems.
This is my daughter with her daughter and the flowers my son-in-law bought them. I am trying to do a few pictures for them that are slightly different than out of camera ones. I do hope they like them.

PLEASE SEE my note and repost further down in the comments.

My mom always says there is nothing so precious as her grandchildren. You captured a love only a parent could know for their child. I love it with both the large and small flowers. Very unique and blended together well.

WOW Mary!!! This is so creative and original. I love the huge flowers. I did see your other version with the smaller flowers but this one with the larger flowers wins hands down in my books. It gives it such a refreshing NEW and orginal touch. Lovely exposure on the whites. A gorgeous photo. Very well done. You do beautiful work.

Cheers - Ann :)

This is great maybe I would like to see a little more of mom with not such a severe crop behind her but presume you were getting rid of pillows or something.

Hi Mary,

Very beautiful composition... and so very true about what you say too! Also, I tend to prefer the layout with the smaller flowers that you presented. So lovely!

It is good to include the face of the mother but I like the one you posted best as it compares the freshness of life with the fresh flowers and shows them as if the baby was intend to be secure among the flowers. Lovely photo. Del.

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 10/5/2005
Mary I really like both, but perhaps slightly prefer the smaller flowers too. You are so imagininative cna creative, I bet they are thrilled with these.
Margaret
I do apologise you asked me ages ago about noiseware - I thought at the time must check how you spell them and then forgot. We originally had digimarc but now we have Imagenomic, which I find excellent and I do put quite a few through it.

Jan Graziano   {K:17920} 10/4/2005
Mary - beautiful shot both with the large and the small flowers. I favor the shot with the smaller flowers as their color picks up the pink in the baby's outfit and the yellow, what looks like a receiving blanket tossed over Mom's shoulder. Well done - and truer words were never spoken. Jan

Well, Todd, aren't you the charmer! It is said that flattery will get you nowhere; but you can't always believe what you hear. ;-)
No, I won't be there this Friday---Thanksgiving weekend, busy with family. Being a grandmother has proven to be time consuming, but I love every second of it. However, I am going into photon withdrawal. It's been soo long. I can't wait to get together with you guys again under a beautiful sky or for a get together.

Beautiful, Mary!!
The jury's out on the flower size, as far as I'm concerned ~ I'm not sure which I like best. But it's a very tender image and the 'about' is soooo true!
Wishing your daughter and her baby well.
My best regards, Chris

Initially, I intended the flowers to be the same size as in my last post. Somehow, in my working with the picture, I did something and ended up posting the larger flowers. I think I like the smaller flowers better with this. I was tired when I posted and didn't notice until after. Here is the picture with the smaller flowers.

A really beautiful photo of the two of them, you can see the love of the baby for the mom and your daughters love for you in her eyes. the flowers feel a bit to large overpowering the figures, I think if you made them smaller it would work better (IMHO) Alison

No, no Mary. Your daughter's expression as a new mother is perfect. A lovely photo for the album, one they'll treasure in future years! The flowers do look rather BIG though... Good idea to emphasize Daddy's part in all this. Dad's can feel a bit left out because they're only bit players in the drama of birth!
