Yes, morning or evening lights are favourable for taking pictures in this place as inclined light bring out the profile of the stone curves. I had to drive till 2 am to the Grand Junction, slept for 2 hours in a motel and rushed at 4 in morning to the place and waited for sunrise. Sun came up at 6:30 am. It was a lovely experience :~)
