Actually James, i think that i had water drops on my lense(being niagara falls, lots of water in the air...). It could have been a flare though...not sure. I have a lense hood, it just gets in the WAY so often that leave it at home for ordinary outings. (I have a tameron lense, where its nearly impossible to manually focus with the lense hood on-kind of a dumb design..)I suppose i could have removed them in photoshop-but they really didnt bother me that much. If it had been color though, i think it would have driven me nuts.

nice B&W. you could get rid of those light spots by using a lens hood probably. just light bouncing in from the sides.... unless you wanted them there. james
