I'm close to Yankee Stadium, never been to New Rochelle.
Glad you like this image, it is one of my favorites of the desert, it can be hard to photograph the 'desert' as a subject without copying the great photographers and painters of the past.. this is probably my only successful image where the desert itself is the subject. (As much as I don't like people driving too much across the desert!)

Great shot Sam! Love the contrast in the tire tracks leading to the dust devil. Having lived in the desert for the last 20+ years, I can truly relate!
On a side note, I see you're a teacher in the Bronx. I was born/raised in New Rochelle. Haven't been back east for many years though.

Thanks! I wondered at first if I should crop it or delete the flare, glad you like it, I think i do also, but its color is odd.
I love the desert, this image makes me want to go back!

Awesome! Did you go this year? I have only been twice but both times i got a wonderful vacation/experience and this time i brought my good camera and was well-rewarded with good photographs too!
