Very nice framing/cropping in the beautiful simple composition. I would like to see the object in color sitting on a pure white table, but it is nice as it is in B&W also. Good work.

First...great composition and idea, but w/ negative space being so important in this sort of presentation, I can't help but wonder if more solid white space on the bottom would have helped enforce the open feeling conveyed by the white space on the top left. Regardless, a nice still life with interesting shades and form to the nut,
